LISTEN TO FREE PREVIEW HERE The album starts with the narrative score of the film, all original and composed by Robert Owen. The score uses the traditional folk sounds of Northumberland where the film is set and even uses the Northumbrian Smallpipes folk instrument (a type of bagpipe). There are hauntingly beautiful tracks such as 'Far From The madding Crowd' and 'Home'. The second half of the album contains all the songs used in the film. They have 70s styles such as the Glam-rock of 'I Believe That We Can Find A Groove' and 'Keep Yer Feet Poundin'', to the James Brown-style funk of 'Animal' and 'Northern Boy Down Deep South' and it ends with great soul songs 'Yeah I Need Your Love' and the uplifting 'Sunshine', performed beautifully by Beth Blade McDonald. |
